At Nomad Bar & Kitchen, we believe that great food starts with great ingredients. That’s why, for the past five years, we’ve proudly partnered with Gower Coast Meats, a small-scale, family-run farm in Llanmorlais, North Gower. Run by Alison and Paul, their farm is home to cattle that graze freely on the stunning common lands of the Gower Peninsula – and it’s this natural, pasture-fed approach that makes our Gower Pasture-Fed 100% Meatballs so special.

Meet the Farmers – Alison & Paul

Farming on the wild and beautiful North Gower coast, Alison and Paul are dedicated to sustainable, traditional farming. Their cattle are 100% pasture-fed, roaming freely and feeding naturally, just as they would have done for centuries. This results in higher-welfare meat, full of rich flavour and depth, without the need for intensive farming methods.

Their small-scale, ethical approach means they focus on quality over quantity, producing incredible-tasting beef while also caring for the local environment. By working with local restaurants like ours, they’re able to continue their passion for sustainable farming, ensuring that their produce stays local and supports the community.

The Story Behind Our Gower Pasture-Fed 100% Meatballs

When we first started working with Gower Coast Meats, we knew we wanted to create something that truly showcased their exceptional beef. Working closely with Alison, I (Sam) experimented with different techniques and seasonings to develop the perfect recipe – one that would let the quality of the meat shine while complementing the bold, Mediterranean-inspired flavours we love at Nomad.

Why Local & Sustainable Matters

By working with small-scale local producers like Gower Coast Meats, we’re not just serving incredible food – we’re supporting a more sustainable and ethical food system. Buying locally means:

✅ Lower food miles – Less transportation, less pollution, and a fresher product.

✅ Better animal welfare – No factory farming, just free-roaming, naturally-fed cattle.

✅ Support for local farmers – Keeping independent farms thriving in Gower.

✅ Superior quality – Grass-fed beef is higher in nutrients and better in taste.
